AI readability and site health
AI readability is whether AI models can reach and understand the brand's pages; site health is how fast, safe and sound they are.
What it tells you
The audit reads the brand's site the way an AI model meets it. AI readability decides whether the model can use a page at all: whether it is allowed in, can find the page, can tell what the page is about, and can quote it correctly. Site health is what people feel as much as the model: how fast the page loads, whether it is secure, whether its links work, how well its text reads and whether everyone can use it. A page with weak site health can still be read and cited; a page a model cannot read cannot.
How it is measured
- AI readability: AI access and guidance (what robots.txt and the AI guidance files allow), Indexability and crawlability (whether crawlers can find and index the pages), Structured data (markup that says what a page is), and Metadata and on-page SEO (the title and description an answer quotes).
- Site health: Performance and Core Web Vitals, Security and technical hygiene, Content quality, Links and resources, and Accessibility.
- Problems that block AI access are marked as such and counted apart under Problems.
What moves it
- First, whatever blocks AI access: a crawler refused in robots.txt, a page that cannot be indexed, or a page that does not load.
- Next, what makes a page hard to understand: missing structured data, or a missing or vague title and description.
- Then site health, the slowest and most broken pages first.
