No noai directive

What the check finds

A noai tag asks AI tools not to use the page, which keeps it out of AI answers that respect it.

Why it matters for AI answers

noai is an informal tag, not a standard, and few AI crawlers are known to honour it. Where it is honoured, it keeps the page out of AI use, which is rarely what a brand wants.

How to fix it

  1. Remove noai and noimageai from the robots meta tag unless opting out is intended.
  2. Check the X-Robots-Tag HTTP header for the same values.
  3. To refuse AI training, block training crawlers in robots.txt instead, which crawlers do read.
