Page size under 1MB
What the check finds
The page is over 1 MB, which slows loading on poor connections.
Why it matters for AI answers
A heavy page loads slowly for shoppers on mobile and can time out for crawlers on a fetch budget. It is a modest signal for AI answers, but a lighter page is fetched more reliably.
How to fix it
- Compress images and serve modern formats such as WebP or AVIF at the size they are displayed.
- Remove unused JavaScript and CSS, and split large bundles so each page loads only what it needs.
- Enable gzip or Brotli compression on the server for HTML, CSS and JS.
- Measure the page weight again in the browser network tab or Lighthouse after each change.
