Consistent character encoding

What the check finds

The page declares two different character encodings in its meta tags. The browser picks one, so the other's text can render as mojibake.

Why it matters for AI answers

Two different encodings make it uncertain how the text is decoded. Characters can turn into garbled symbols, and AI tools may store or quote the broken version.

How to fix it

  1. Keep a single <meta charset="utf-8"> and remove any other charset or http-equiv Content-Type tag.
  2. Make sure the HTTP Content-Type header names the same encoding.
  3. Check templates and plugins that may inject their own charset tag.
