No deprecated HTML tags

What the check finds

The page uses HTML tags that are no longer part of the standard. Browsers still render them, so this is maintenance debt.

Why it matters for AI answers

Old tags still render, so this rarely affects AI answers directly. They are maintenance debt and can hide meaning that modern tags and CSS express more clearly.

How to fix it

  1. Replace presentational tags such as <font>, <center> and <marquee> with CSS.
  2. Use current semantic tags such as <strong>, <em>, <section> and <nav> where meaning matters.
  3. Update the templates that output the old tags so they do not come back.
