Versions
GPT-6 in Chat
Rolling out to eligible paid accounts. GPT-6 Sol powers Instant, Medium, High, and Extra High thinking levels. Availability depends on the plan, rollout, and workspace settings; this does not identify the version used for a GeckoCheck result.
GPT-6 Pro
Powered by GPT-6 Astra for difficult tasks and longer-running work. Access and usage allowances differ from standard GPT-6; Pro effort does not include the Intelligent UI experience.
GPT-5.6 Sol and Luna
GPT-5.6 Sol remains selectable during the GPT-6 rollout. Luna is rolling out as the default for Free and Go users and also powers their Think option.
GPT-6.1 Sol in Work and Codex
A separate model option for ChatGPT Work and Codex, not the GPT-6 model offered in ordinary Chat. Product surfaces should not be treated as interchangeable versions.
Capabilities
Conversation and writing
Answers questions, explains topics, drafts and revises text, and maintains the context of a conversation. Results can change with the selected model and thinking level.
Adjustable reasoning
Eligible accounts can choose how much the model reasons, balancing response speed with deeper work. Available effort levels depend on the model, plan, and workspace.
Interactive answers
GPT-6 Intelligent UI can combine text, visuals, and interactive elements on supported web and updated app surfaces. This is a rolling feature and is not available with Pro effort.
Tools for research and analysis
ChatGPT supports tools such as file uploads, data analysis, image generation, and voice, with separate tool allowances. The presence of a tool in the product does not mean it ran for a particular answer.
ChatGPT in GeckoCheck
GeckoCheck reads how ChatGPT answers the queries a brand cares about: whether it names the brand, how it describes it, who it names instead, and which pages it cites.
Each model is read and graded on its own, because each answers differently. A brand's plan sets which models it tracks.
